Prof. Taha Özyürek graduated from Atatürk University, Faculty of Dentistry, in 2010 with a DDS degree and earned his Ph.D. in Endodontics from Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2015. He worked as a full-time research assistant in the same department until 2018, after which he served as the Head of the Endodontics Department at İstanbul Medeniyet University, Faculty of Dentistry. Since 2021, Dr. Özyürek has been a professor and the Head of the Department of Endodontics at Bahçeşehir University School of Dental Medicine. In addition to these roles, he is the Director of the Continuing Education Program and the Director of the Research Laboratory at Bahçeşehir University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Özyürek’s research focuses primarily on the mechanical properties of nickel-titanium files and endodontic irrigation techniques. He has published over 100 articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. Since 2020, he has been recognized in Stanford University’s “Top 2% Scientists Worldwide” list. Dr. Özyürek also reviews several prestigious journals, including the Journal of Endodontics, International Endodontic Journal, and Australian Endodontic Journal. A recognized speaker,
Dr. Özyürek has delivered numerous lectures, workshops, and hands-on courses across many countries. He is an active member of the Turkish Dental Association (TDB), Turkish Endodontic Society (TED), and European Society of Endodontics (ESE).
